If you'd rather use rockband or ion pedals for single or double bass, look at the double pedal box.
The double pedal box can also be used as a kickbox with the additional port option. The allows you to upgrade to a kick trigger at your leisure.

Don't be Fooled by imitations....

Facts about the made in China red VTI box copy...

It is not a Kickbox. The Kickbox has no electrical connection at the output to the input.
The VTI output puts out 3-4 volts that plugs directly into your kick input (scarey). You can verify this with a meter. The Kickbox output reads 0. It uses an optically isolated switch that switches at 2 nano seconds.
The VTI uses a slower transistor clamp and is susceptible to static discharge. (ps3 disconnects)
The Kickbox output provides 5KV static protection in addition to total electrical isolation.

The VTI has a duration dial because the timing parameters are not designed into the box, so you have to try to dial it in and figure it out yourself. It is not a feature, its really a cheaper one size fits all design.

Because the VTI has an output voltage, a polarity switch is needed to correct opposing voltages at the kick input. Just put the polarity switch in the wrong position an watch the voltage fight each other.
